I must miss the States a lot. For the last 2 out of 3 nights, I've had dreams about going grocery shopping back in the US of A. The first dream was in Giant, the second was in Whole Foods. I absolutely cannot wait to go. Is that sad?

Miss Footloose, I'm glad I made you laugh! I really do like Belgian supermarkets, and Belgian cuisine in general, as well as trying new food in every country I visit (Italian ones are wonderful!). However, there is something about the massive American supermarkets with walls and walls of choice that I just love.
ReplyDeleteIn my dream I was buying all the stuff I can't get here normally... peanut butter, different kinds of cereal (honey bunches of oats, cin. life),etc. Somehow American food, or at least the typical American brands (that I can't get here) have become delicacies in my mind.
I think another reason I'm dreaming about it is this: I am a hoarder, I like having plenty of things, and here that's not really possible without a car. Everything I buy, I have to carry home. So maybe this is a good exercise for me!
